A few summers ago I took my driver's test to get my license for the motorcycle I was planning on getting. I was a terribly slow learner so my friend said that I should look into getting taking a driving crash course. At first I was a bit wary, because the words "Driving Crash Course", should in my opinion never be used together! But she assured me that it wasn't what I was thinking. A driving crash course is a set of lessons and practices specifically tailored to the learner driver's ability, or in my case, lack thereof.

I asked her what would the driving lessons cost be, and much to my surprise it was incredibly affordable. Before actually taking the crash course, I would first have to take and pass my driving theory test. I was told the theory test would have to be taken before my practical test. I never imagined there would be so much work involved from simply switching from a car to a motorcycle! I eventually passed not only my theory test, but also my driver's test. I enjoy riding through the country side with the wind blowing on my face, knowing how cool I must look on my Harley Davidson with my leather jacket on, as cliche as it is!

Looking back on all of those tests today it wasn't nearly as difficult as I made it out to be, and in the end it was most certainly worth it. Another thing I've noticed is that there seems to be a mutual respect amongst bikers. Not that I'd consider myself a biker (I'm not tough/cool enough yet!) it's certainly nice to be acknowledged. Who knows, maybe one of these days I'll go into a biker bar. But from the image they get in movies... that may be something I hold off on doing for a while. Heck, one of these days I may even travel across country, how cool would that be? From New York to Los Angeles, Seattle to Miami, I'd trek and see it all on my Harley Davidson.

Those would sure be some great adventures to share with my grandchildren years from now!
