I'm glad I started my driving lessons when I was at college. I have been driving ever since, and not had a single crash. It has taken six years to work my way into a career that requires me to travel around the north west. I'm a representative for my company, so my job requires to travel from branch to branch or company to company dealing with many clients.
Since I passed my theory and practical test and received my license. I have loved driving ever since. Well, up until I had a car crash.
I was doing my usual route, but I ended up being stuck in traffic. Minutes ticked by, and I still haven't moved. I wonder what is was putting the traffic into a stand still? Eventually, the traffic started to move slowly, and in came a view of a horrific car accident. I'm glad I wasn't involved in that accident, and hopefully I will never have to experience one. The scene of the car accident was in my mind for the rest of that day. I couldn't concentrate at all, all I kept thinking was were those people who was in that accident all okay?
It was a few weeks later that I was involved in a car crash. It was terrifying. A car came speeding straight at me from the opposite direction. I tried to swerve away to avoid impact but there was no time, the car collided straight into the front of my car and a truck, who also tried to swerve to avoid hitting me, crashed into the back of my car. I was caved between a car and a truck. All I could think of, was this is what those people must have felt when I saw that accident, weeks before. Am I going to die? I didn't feel any pain, until I opened my eyes and saw I was still in my car. I could hear many voices, but I couldn't understand what the were saying. My head was sore. Then reality hit me. I'm in a car accident and I'm trapped in my car.
By the time I arrived at the hospital and was seen to by a doctor. I was lucky, nothing was broken. I had walked away from a major car accident with cuts, bruises and whiplash.
I found out the person who was driving the car was a well known drink driver and didn't think twice to where he was going. The truck driver did his best to avoid me but it wasn't possible.
It took months before I was able to sit behind the wheel again. Nothing will get in the way of my career. I have spent too long to work for the career I have. Nothing will stand in my way to travel to places I need to be for my career.
