I go down to the motor trade office to see about updating my subscription and found out that I need to reapply all over again. I ask why do I have to do this, and the response I get is that they periodically have to do this to keep there records updated and current. I guess I could understand why this would be a requirement, but it sure it annoying to have to write everything down all over again. They proceed to tell me that it is more for the new insurance group that they just partnered with. Not to mention a lot easier for the driving instructors to look up past students thatthey have had in the past.
I don't have anything against driving instructors, it's just I get really nervous when it comes to taking the driving test. All thedriving instructors thatI havehad in the past have been really scary to me, and I can't seem to get comfortable around them. And this also goes for women driving instructors also.I would think that I would maybe a little more comfortable with a women as the instructor. But that is not the way that it has happened in the past. But that was a long time ago when I look a driving test, and since a lot of time has past since then, maybe things have changed for the better.
The day comes that I need to take the driving test, and I try to stay as calm as possible. But my nerves fail me and I am as nervous as I always remember being before a test. Not just a driving test, but any type of test. You name it, if it is a test, I'm sure to be nervous.
I'm waiting in my car for the instructor to buckle himself up so we can take it to the road. This instructor had a warm smile and seemed to be pretty friendly. So that put me at ease a little bit. He instructs me to pull into traffic and to take a left at the first light up ahead. I turn very cautiously into the center lane to take a left turn. Things go pretty smooth for the next five to ten minutes. Then comes the hard part, the parallel parking. Without any trouble, I parallel park in the spot that he pointed out. He jots a few things down onthe paperwork on his clipboard, and hands me a sheet of paper and says, "Congratulations, you have passed".
